Knorpel Doc - Dr. med. Markus Klingenberg
“The cartilage doc” – preserving joints instead of replacing them

Vita

Important stages of my medical and sporting career are listed below. I believe that education and training are not so much a destination as a continuous journey. I have consciously completed various stages of my training abroad (Austria, Great Britain, Switzerland, USA) and am still regularly active in Africa and the Indian Ocean. In this way, I constantly gain new impressions and am confronted with new human and professional challenges.

My own aspiration is to be a generalist in sports medicine and a specialist in surgery.

Your expert for sports medicine and orthopaedics

As an expert in sports medicine and orthopaedics, I have been publishing articles in various print and online media for several years, for example for Functional-Training magazine and the sports expert portal Deutschland Trainingsworld. I also answer questions from athletes on the topics of therapy and training. I give lectures on the topics of health, sport and nutrition as part of further education and training courses for trainers, doctors and managers.

“Knowledge is not enough, we have to be able to apply knowledge. The will alone is not enough, we have to act.”

Bruce Lee

For me, the main focus of these activities is the practical feasibility of what I teach and the support I provide in implementing it.

My doctoral thesis

Here you can read my doctoral thesis on “Induction of endotoxin tolerance and cross-tolerance in the intestinal muscularis of the rat“.

Blog and scientific contributions

I publish regular blog posts on the topics of nutrition, exercise, medical diagnostics and mindset as well as scientific articles.
