Stem cell therapy
If conservative treatment methods for hip or knee joints are no longer effective, but an artificial joint replacement can still be avoided, stem cell therapy is an option. The cells come from the patient’s own fatty tissue and are harvested under local anesthesia. It can also be used to treat certain types of back pain.
